Do you actually know, how to get a “brown color palette” ? I’ve seen this very often, especially for interior shots. Would be really great to know more about.
just as an example, you have posted just recently on your blog The Reader: one example which comes close to the brown color look:

i found a theme: all of these shots cost more than the entire film was worth.

In all three examples you posted the technique used was – drumroll – shoot in a brown room with slightly warm lighting.
