The English Patient is a great epic movie with great performances and fantastic direction. And let’s not forget about the amazingly well-shot cinematography by John Seale. It always blows my mind when the director of photography of the movie was the same who shot Mad Max Fury Road (one of my favorite movies).
The English Patient by Michael Ondaatje remains one of my favorite novels. When my friends and I learned that a film adaptation was forthcoming, we were dubious. It seemed an impossible task. Our doubts were fully dispelled. I’ve rewatched it many times and it’s nearly perfect.
