  1. You need to correct the title over there. It won the 1940 Academy Award for Best Cinematography, Color.

  2. Great web-site and images! However, you forgot to mention that Gone With The Wind was filmed entirely through the eyes of ‘s Camera Operator; Arthur E. Arling.

    1. This is true! There were a lot of people responsible for such an iconic film. I just listed the people who accepted the Oscar for the sake of brevity.
      Your collection looks amazing! I hope I get a chance to see it sometime!

  3. This is an 80 year old movie, but the photography holds up till today. You can put this next to current digital cinematography and it will hold up.

    Technically superb, and it also has a visual style.

    Also, is it possible to recreate this ‘technicolor’ look using digital?

  4. This movie has been my passion for 64 years! 64 years ago, there was no promise of the VCR, DVR, streaming services, or computers.
    Now, if I want to watch, it’s as simple as picking up my TV remote, or my IPad.
