Fantastic cinematography. Having watched the film I can say the way the cinematography helped make the film look a lot like a theatrical presentation. The way it blends so many colors and the camera movement were spectacular. Fair nomination at the Academy Awards.
Honestly, it didn’t grab my attention when I first watched it. Mostly I think because the whole stage play bit threw me off so much, and I found it so distracting that I really didn’t like the film much at all.
But, as I weeded through which shots to include, when I was looking at the cinematography separated from the story itself, I really found myself admiring the images. It has some truly impressive cinematography. No doubt.

Should have won the Oscar for best cinematography last year. Hands down. Stunning, gorgeous work.
